A message from the President of the National Cherry Blossom Festival
As I embark on my 25th year with the Festival, I am reflecting on the incredible journey of the Festival since the original gift of the trees in 1912 from Japan, and the millions of amazing people that have been drawn by their beauty, their message of renewal, and the celebration that holds their annual transformation at its center.
If the Festival and the iconic trees have touched your heart, reconnected with your friends or family, or drawn you closer to our unique community, we encourage you to support our mission of sustaining the trees by making a donation at any monetary level that you can. Your donation will support the Trust for the National Mall's Cherry Tree Endowment, in partnership with the National Park Service to care for the trees.
In celebration of this milestone anniversary, the National Cherry Blossom Festival Board of Directors will ensure a match of the first $25,000 raised through this fundraising initiative to ensure the beloved cherry trees thrive for generations to come. Your gift will be doubled!
Thank you for your support!
